The makings of a salad
Yesterday we decided to go back to one of my favorite classes at the Botanic Gardens. Maida had never been, so this was all new to her and I of course had to show her the ropes.
This class' theme was salad, so we headed out into the garden to pick our own lettuce.
Then we washed it off
And tore it up to go in our bowls
The teacher added some tomatoes and cucumbers for us to spice it up, though I would've preferred some ranch dressing (no surprise there). But it was still delicious - I must say, a salad fresh from the garden tastes pretty good.
Then for our craft we used veggies to paint our salad bowl.
I chose to make yellow and green macaroni and cheese instead (again, not really a surprise).
