The arctic fox, and more and more birthdays
Maida has been studying polar animals at school all winter, and last month she had her first real presentation and she chose the Arctic Fox. Truth be told, the girl was a mess that morning, but once she pulled it together, she killed it.
Then it was Mom's birthday, and we decided to try and use her selfie stick to get a picture that morning - you can see how well that worked.
Dad cooked an amazing dinner for us all that night, and we made Mom her favorite cake (in cupcake form) with GG's help - German Chocolate cake. I will never understand her obsession with this, I think it's gross.
The next week we headed up to Breckenridge and Keystone for some winter fun and skiing. After all those lessons at Eldora at the beginning of winter, we finally could just go skiing with Dad, and we had a blast!
The next day Mom tagged along, and Fossie actually got on skis for the first time too (that was interesting).
And of course we celebrated Dad's birthday up in the mountains, too.
Our Spring Break was pretty quiet. While some of our friends ventured to warm weather destinations like Mexico or Arizona, we opted for a one-night staycation at the Drury Inn with some friends. We went swimming, out to breakfast the next morning, and toured the Capitol downtown. You know you're jealous.
