Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh #$%&!@!

Sunday night was a big night for me..it was my first trip to the Zoo (well, outside Mom's belly anyway - I know Dad took mom there the week I was born so she could "walk it out" as he liked to say, and apparently it worked).

We went with Mom and Dad's friends Stacey and John, and boy did we have fun. There weren't a lot of animals out since it was past their bedtimes (so in case you're wondering why we were there at night, they have what they call "Zoo lights" at nighttime around the holidays - I know, I thought it meant the animals would be decked out in xmas lights, too). Our first stop was at the Lion's Den. We could just BARELY make out the silouhette of a lion (I think it was just a log), so John wanted to be sure to protect me at all costs, which he did a mighty fine job of - Thanks, Juan...I mean, John!



On another random note, I have learned to full-on suck my thumb, and Mom and Dad couldn't be more proud (who knew they'd be so easy to please?)...they're hoping this means I'll be able to easily put myself to sleep now. Too bad for them that probably won't be the case any time soon!
