Rest in Peace, sweet dog

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Millie today ... she had been deteriorating for some time, and we found out she most likely had cancer that was now affecting her liver. Her little body was just too broken to be fixed. But now we know she is running around and playing in a field somewhere without any pain.

Minnie (as we liked to call her) was a sweetheart of a dog who most likely did not have an easy first half of her life. Mom and Dad rescued her five years ago when she was 7 (we think), after she had just had pups and only weighed 35 lbs. Over the next few years she put on plenty of weight (perhaps too much at times!), and was an easy-to-please dog who didn't ask for much to be happy and would've never hurt a fly. 

We will miss you, Minnie
