Lookout Mountain
Today was Mom and Dad's 7th Anniversary, so we decided to have a family day and we headed up to Lookout Mountain in Golden for the morning.
Dad and I did some rock climbing...don't let go, Dad, seriously.
Where was Maida, you might ask? Well, surprise, surprise, she passed out in the car on the 30 minute drive up there. Might've had something to do with the fact that 4 was the first number on the clock when she woke up this morning. This is her normal lately, and Mom is not happy about it.
Dad is showing me where he rides his mountain bike when he climbs Lookout Mountain. I'm still a bit skeptical.
Wanna share, Mae?
Ok, now I'm done sharing.
We headed into the nature center after our snack, and I listened to some animal sounds. I definitely heard a snake...are there really snakes up here?
Maida got wrapped up in the puppets with Dad.
Then it was outside for our hike
Maida collected pinecones, which kept her busy for awhile because there was about a million of them.
Why is she so darn cute? These might be the only few photos of the day where Maida is actually smiling. Every time Mom tried to take her picture, she yelled "No!" and ran away.
Then we enjoyed a lovely lunch right outside the nature center
And later that evening, we "cheers'ed" Mom and Dad because, well, we wouldn't be here without them.
Mimi was also in town this weekend because it was our cousin Sayler's 1st birthday. Sadly, she got sick so her party had to be cancelled, but we still went over to spend some time with Mimi and wish Sayler a Happy Birthday in a very hygienic way. More to come on that soon.
