The last hurrah
For our last summer hurrah we spent a couple days in Breckenridge. It was a gorgeous summer day, so on our way up the mountain, we stopped to ride the Georgetown train. We figured Fossie would be in heaven riding a real train, and he was..
We made it to Breck later that afternoon and just did some strolling around town, or rather, Maida did some riding...
The next couple days we spent some time hiking
On our hike, we came across a "fairyland" in the middle of the forest...dozens of little fairies and homes scattered throughout the trail.
We found out it was an older couple that lived nearby who started building the houses in the forest, and then when their grandkids grew older, they started helping, too. Even though I rolled my eyes about all of it, I secretly thought it was really cute.
We hiked all the way up to one of the lifts, and even though we probably weren't supposed to be on it, Mom wanted a photo!
And Foster was obsessed with having flowers behind his ears just like Maida
The rest of our time was spent at Peak 8 riding the roller coaster, playing games and just generally having fun.
Other than Harper getting hit with the stomach bug in the middle of the night and throwing up every 1/2 hour on our last day, we had a great time!
