Nebraska trip Part 1

Finally, an update from our week in Nebraska! It was a whirlwind week with family, old friends and new friends, so try and keep up.

Mom, Maida and I rented a car (so we could drive back with our friends who were already in NE) and hit the road early Thursday morning.

We made it to Lincoln without incident and headed straight to Mimi and Grandpa's house, and then straight for some ice cream :)

We got to see Uncle Matt and meet his new puppy, Paisley. We are now hounding Mom and Dad (no pun intended) for a new dog of our own.

Mimi and Grandpa took us to get some new Husker gear, too...I got a new hat and some baseball gear, and Maida picked out a hat and gloves to apparently start a career as a thug.

Mimi and Grandpa all dressed up before their "ceremony" at church...we love you guys!

From Lincoln we headed to a little lake near Ginger Cove just outside of Omaha with a TON of Mom's friends. We had a BLAST.

There were tons of frogs jumping around so we decided to catch a few. I didn't really want to hold them, but Maida LOVED them and wanted to bring one home.

Another one of Maida's favorite things...babies :) She got to meet baby Ian who is just a few weeks old.

The whole crew!

The next day we had some more pool time with our new friends Daeton and Andie.

And this little cutie is another one of Mom's friends' kids..her name is Mia and she's already going to be a big sister soon!

We also visited the cemeteries since it had been so long since we've been back. First was Uncle David's and then onto Grandma and Grandpa Campbell.

After some fun-filled days in Omaha, we headed to Columbus where my friend Emme's Mom is from. They were staying with her grandparents who live on a lake, and they invited us to stay for a few days, too! More swimming!!

If you've never seen one of these before, then you're not alone. I had no idea what it was, but it's the best invention ever. You get to walk on the water, who doesn't want to do that?

Paddleboats, jumping off docks..doesn't get much better than this...

More to come from the end of our trip in Columbus!
