Back from the brink

No, we did not disappear over New Year's, though it sort of felt like it. We got hit TWICE with the stomach flu. First time was just me the day after Christmas, and I handled it pretty well. It only lasted about 24 hours and surprisingly no one else got sick. Mom thought she had dodged a bullet.

But a week later, after New Year's, it hit Maida. She was a little bit more dramatic about it, but again, Mom thought the rest of us, including me, were in the clear since they didn't get it the first time. Boy was she wrong. Two days after Maida got sick, Dad went down. That same night about 11:30p, I stumbled in to Mom and Dad's room and threw up all over their bed. By 4:30am, Mom was praying to the porcelain God herself. Even Foster had a touch of it, though was still in good spirits. Needless to say, the entire house had to be disinfected. 

But the Krolls bounced back, like they always do, so here's a recap of our week in between puking episodes.

We determined Foster desperately needs to master sitting up on his own because he no longer fits in the baby bath.

Maida and I had some fun of our own in the bath ... the girl loves to turn on the freezing cold water and pour it all over herself. Nobody can figure that one out.

We also spent a night at GG and D's and they took us to see the movie 'Frozen.'

Our chore at GG's was shoveling the deck for a whopping $1.

Then on New Year's Eve Mom took us to the pool at the rec center. We had a blast.

And that night, we all dressed up in our fanciest clothes and went .. nowhere. We just stayed in and had one of my favorite dinners (pork tenderloin) and used fancy glasses with our own little bubbly.

And then to ring in the New Year, Dad set up the tent in the loft and we camped out ... well, at least Dad and I did, Maida had to be put back in her own bed because she wasn't cooperating.
