Summer happenings
Summer is in full swing, and now that our traveling is done, we can just sit back and relax...right? Nice try ...
If we sit around the house too long, we all lose our minds, so we haven't been doing too much of that. Here's a bit of what we've been up to the past week or so.
There's this new place that just opened called the Lowry Beer Garden. I'm sure you're thinking this does not sound like a kid-friendly establishment, but I assure you, it is (who doesn't love a place that's kid-friendly where the adults can also partake in a couple adult beverages?). And Mom and Dad and our friends Asher and Ford's parents decided to put it to the test one Friday night. This is a photo of the four of us on our way out, happily walking hand-in-hand. I call that a success, don't you? Also a success is the fact that none of the adults had to be carried out.
Our most recent big adventure was a trip to Lollipop Park (aka, indoor amusement park for 3 year-olds) with Nathan and Jacob. It was like I died and went to heaven. They had spinning teacups..
A ferris wheel...
A train..
A merry-go-round (Maida and Jacob are having a staring contest here)
A second round of teacups (Mom had had enough of the teacups by this point)
And what indoor amusement park would be complete without blow-up slides.
Earlier this week, I put on a puppet show at the local bookstore for Maida and some kid I didn't know.
And last but not least, are the swim lessons I started a couple weeks ago. Celie and Audrey are in my class, and it's the best 25 minutes of the day.
Our teacher, Miss Annie, is awesome
At the end of each session, we play a game called, "Mr. Shark, Mr. Shark, what time is it?" If you're not familiar with it, I highly recommend checking it out. Pure fun.
