Visit to Nebraska

This past weekend we packed up and headed back to Nebraska. The trip there was looooong, but we powered through (without any naps, of course). We were greeted by the frigid Nebraska western plains wind!

But then a couple days later it was nice enough outside to play some flag football. Grandpa and I were on a team, and Maida, Daddy and Uncle Matt were on the other team. We schooled them!

And this was our trophy to show for it

Maida won MVP but she was still ticked she didn't have the trophy...understandably so.

Then it was Broncos football time and Foster, per usual, enjoyed some pants-free time.

That evening we roasted some smores in Mimi and Grandpa's new fire pit.

The next day, even though Fossie had a bit of a fever, we decided to head to the Lincoln Capitol for a little tour. Mom and Dad would not stop blabbing about how they didn't remember it being so beautiful when they came and visited in 4th Grade. I mean, it was cool, but it wasn't Chuck E Cheese or anything.

We really wanted to go out on the observation deck, so while we waited for someone to come up and unlock the door, Maida decided to take a little snooze.

Such a cool door!

Playing on the "train" in downtown Lincoln - one of our favorite things to do!
