Homemade ice cream is the best
It's been a busy first couple weeks of summer. Our neighborhood seems to have an occasion for a bouncy house every other week, so I crashed my friend Emme's block party because who wouldn't want to go down a blow up waterslide?!
Foster got his first official haircut...we left it a little long on top just because we knew Dad would love the mowhawk :)
We also visited Grandma Sally and Foster cozied right on up for a book.
He's going to love this picture when he's graduating from high school.
Last weekend we actually did something we've never done before and headed to the "beach" at the Cherry Creek Reservoir. It was a beautiful day (finally) and we had fun playing in the sand and water (even though the water did look a little sketchy - luckily no infections have sprung up because of this).
Sara and Jed also brought their "ice cream maker" - we had to fill a plastic ball with a bunch of cream and sugar, then put ice and salt around it and throw it around for about a half hour. It weighed a good 20 lbs so Mom got her workout in for the day, but the ice cream was delicious!
