Disneyland, Day 2 & 3

We got going bright and early our second day (park opened at 8am, we were there by 7:50). Our first ride that morning was a 3D Toy Story ride that was AWESOME. You were basically in your own video game and racked up points by shooting pretend paintballs at the screens in front of you. Dad had to do this ride over and over to try and beat his score (no surprise there, Mr. Competitive).

I was super stoked to meet this guy!

We thought Maida was excited to meet Sophia, but when it got down to it, she wanted nothing to do with her??

The next two photos were probably the highlight of Maida's trip. The girl doesn't get treats too often, and when she does, they are typically gluten-free/all natural/no added sugar (aka - not a real treat!), so this big cup of ice cream almost sent her over the edge. She literally stared at it for a good 10 minutes because she didn't want it to disappear. We had to remind her she had to eat it to actually enjoy it.

And then...Cinderella...her new idol

She'll still tell you she loves Elsa, but I think Cinderella is right up there with her.

Family photo op - the photographer at the park who took this pic wasn't messing around, he placed us exactly where we were supposed to go to get the perfect shot - thanks dude!

And then pinnacle moment when Maida and I both did the Jedi Training and finished it by fighting Darth Vadar (thank God it wasn't the other scary guy)

Mickey all lit up at night

After dinner that night (Maida had passed out in the stroller by now), Mom and Dad said I could build my own car at this shop we saw a couple days before. Good thing they don't have these stores in Colorado, I'd be there everyday.

Back again bright and early on Day 3 - and Maida's 4th Birthday!!

Back to our Toy Story ride before breakfast

We still aren't sure why Maida isn't happier in this photo - it's her birthday AND she's at Disneyland. The girl is hard to please...

Breakfast at Ariel's Grotto for the Birthday Girl (who's happier now)!

Then come the Princesses...

Mulan

Belle

Tiana

and last but not least, Cinderella

Birthday sorbet (again, not a real treat in my book)

We continued our last day through Cars Land (where we rode the Radiator Springs Racers again - so fun!), and met Mater.

Then we figured what trip to Disneyland would be complete without meeting Mickey Mouse?! It was super fun because you got to stroll through Mickey's house before meeting him...

Peter Pan and Captain Hook!

Then that night before dinner Maida got to pick out a birthday present and she chose to Build-A-Bear.  It was a "Superman" bear which she then dressed up as Batman and put Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle slippers on.

We named him "Super Batty Turtle" but Maida likes to call him "Sunshine Bear"

Cheers to a 4th Birthday to remember! We love you, Mae!
