More from Maida's birthday

Maida's birthday was quite the multiple day event this year. On Saturday, we checked out the Pirates and Princesses show downtown, which was a hit. I almost didn't get to go because I was slightly under the weather, but Mom gave me some Tylenol, and off we went.

Maida even did her own makeup for the show

Then that night it was time for cake ... a very PINK cake for our princess

Classic

The next day was Super Bowl Sunday (though we won't be talking about THAT), and Maida's big birthday party. Obviously it was an Ariel theme .. and we might be talking about this cake for the next 10 years - that's about how long it will take for us to save up for another one.

Great Play was awesome .. first they set up a Tunnel for us all to run through to clapping and cheering (sortof like the Huskers when they run out onto the field), and Maida went last.

Then there was an obstacle course

Dancing with ribbons

Balloon tennis

A tire swing

They also had this interactive screen where you threw a ball at it to try and find the hidden animal.

Foster should've been napping, but instead he had a ball .. literally and figuratively.

At the end was the awards ceremony ... they put Maida on a pedestal with the American Flag flying behind her. We all got medals while they played the Star Spangled Banner. Very Olympics-esque.

Thankfully the cake tasted as good as it looked.
Happy #3 Maida!
