Crafty

Mom has really been into Valentine's crafts lately...

The first craft we did last week was painting paper hearts. First you taped them on some paper, and then painted away. Maida has less inhibitions when it came to choosing colors for her hearts.

I, on the other hand, could only use one color per heart.

When we were done, we lifted up the hearts and let everything dry.

Then we hung the hearts for some festive garland, and we're going to use the cards to give as Valentine's - genius.

Since Mom had the camera out, I figured it was the perfect opportunity to get some pics of Bucky and Teedy.

This is Bucky the Beaver - he was Dad's when he was a little boy and I have now adopted him as my own. He just looks like he's from the '80s, doesn't he?

Teedy the Pig hails from Chicago. Papa and Grandma picked him up for me on a trip a couple years ago, and he has become a favorite, as well.

Luckily they get along fabulously.

Next up was some Heart T-shirts. You were supposed to paint a heart doily and then stamp that onto the shirt for a beautiful heart print. Well, Mom was smart and got tons of doilies and two sets of shirts, because the first try didn't go so well.

But we gave it another go on our second set of shirts, and voila!
