Spring Break

So unlike years past where we literally did nothing over Spring Break but twiddle our thumbs, this year was very different, in the best way. Our friends from Chi-town came to visit - Finley, Mabel, and Paxton and their parents Paddy O'shea and Sarah. This was actually the first time our entire two families have been together at once, so there was a little apprehension - would they like us? Would everyone get along? Would Foster find a new best friend leaving me in the dust (answer: yes)?

It went better and was more fun than we could have ever imagined. 

Pax showed Foster how to be a true BOY with power tools and a lot of pounding (Dad was probably most excited about this).

Finley showed Celie and I her killer piano skills (sidetone: Paddy would also sit down and play a few ditties every afternoon and it was fabulous - I'm starting lessons this week because of him and Finley).

Lots and lots of movie time

A day trip to Boulder to check out Pearl Street Mall - we weren't sure if they knew what legal marijuana smelled like, but they do now. 

Fin and I picked up some books to read, and Maida did some photo bombing. 

     

Lunch at Old Chicago and Ice Cream at Ben & Jerry's, of course.

  

Headed to the Rec Center for some pool time (Mabel did finally take her Blackhawks stocking cap off to swim :)

 

And finally, tubing in Copper!

  

 

A super fun end to an epic week with great friends. Miss you guys already!
