Happy 3rd Birthday!

Yesterday was the day...I'm finally 3, and sadly I think the weeklong birthday festivities will be over for me. But it was fun while it lasted. Celie and I had our big Fancy Nancy Birthday Party this past weekend. And despite it being the coldest and rainiest day we've had in awhile, it was tons of fun!

Celie came over a little early and we got all decked out in our fancy attire

Then guess who showed up!? Fancy Nancy herself! I was a little unsure of her at first, but she won me over with her talk of princesses and sparkles. 

Turns out Fancy Nancy was also a professional face painter - even better! I decided to get a pumpkin

And don't forget about the bouncy house. That's right ... we had a bouncy house - in the garage!

And a Fancy Nancy pinata, we spared no expense, people. Funny story about the pinata was it was quite the hazard at first until we realized 3 year olds probably shouldn't be swinging a long stick by themselves. 

So Dad decided to help the rest of the kids. But we still could not get the thing to break. So he took a shot at it himself, and on the second swing, he broke the stick in two and one half shot across the deck at full speed, luckily not impaling anyone. That's when we decided it was no longer safe, and we just broke it open with our hands.
