8 IS GREAT

This year for my birthday I decided to invite a couple friends over and do a cooking class with Chef Maggie. Chef Maggie is this awesome chef who's from Poland originally and she does kid's cooking classes out of her house (which is where my cooking obsession started). 

So the Thursday before my birthday, Emme and Maddi came over after school, and we got to work.

I decided I wanted to make Won Ton soup and fried egg rolls (and yes, that is a big knife - Mom actually bought it for me for my birthday, though I think she intended to get a 5" rather than an 8". Clearly she isn't well versed on her kitchen utensils).

Our feast is almost complete..

After we got done cooking our dinner (we cooked for 2 HOURS!), we got to decorate mini cakes with waaaaay too much frosting.

I'm not sure who enjoyed the evening more...us, or Mom since she didn't have to cook dinner!
